Customer Guide

How to order food using Makan-Go

Open Makan-Go and tap "Customer"

From the home screen, tap the Customer button.

Scroll down and tap "Sign Up as Customer"

Read the features and requirements first, then tap Sign Up.

Fill in your details

Enter your full name, email address, landmark, and password.

Allow GPS Location

Tap "Detect My Location" and allow GPS when prompted. This is required to complete signup.

Tap "Sign Up"

Submit your registration. A verification email will be sent to your inbox.

Verify your email

Open your email and click the verification link from Makan-Go.

Log in!

Go back to the app β†’ tap Customer β†’ Log In β†’ enter your email and password.

⚠️ Service Area Check: You must be within Lagawe, Hingyon, or Kiangan to sign up. GPS will verify your location.

Browse Restaurants

On the home screen, browse restaurants. Use the search bar or category filters to find what you want.

Tap a Restaurant

Tap any restaurant card to see their menu. You can tap "πŸ“ View Store Location" to see where they are on the map.

Add Items to Cart

Tap the βž• button next to each item. Tap an item to view details and photos.

Tap "View Order"

When done adding items, tap the orange "View Order" button at the bottom.

Detect Your Location (Required)

On checkout, tap "πŸ“ Detect My Location" and allow GPS. This calculates your delivery fee and helps the rider find you.

Add a Tip (Optional)

You can tip your rider β‚±5, β‚±10, β‚±20, or a custom amount. 100% goes to the rider!

Choose Payment Method

Select Cash on Delivery (COD) or GCash. For GCash, send payment and upload a screenshot.

Tap "Place Order"

Confirm your order and wait for the restaurant to accept!

⚠️ GPS is required before placing order! The "Place Order" button will be disabled until you detect your location.

Merchant Guide

How to register your restaurant and manage orders

Open Makan-Go and tap "Merchant"

From the home screen, tap Merchant.

Tap "Sign Up as Merchant"

Scroll down and tap the Sign Up button.

Fill in your store details

Enter your full name, store name, category, landmark, email, and password.

Detect Store GPS Location (Required)

Go to your actual store and tap "Detect My Store Location". Allow GPS. This shows customers exactly where you are.

Upload Store Photo (Optional)

Add a photo of your store or signature dish to attract customers.

Upload Valid ID (Required)

Upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID (PhilSys, Driver's License, Passport, Voter's ID, or Barangay ID).

Submit and wait for approval

Verify your email, then wait 1-2 business days for admin approval.

Once approved β€” Log In and add your menu!

After approval, log in and start adding your menu items.

Rider Guide

How to deliver orders and earn with Makan-Go

Open Makan-Go and tap "Rider"

From the home screen, tap Rider.

Tap "Sign Up as Rider"

Scroll down and tap Sign Up.

Fill in your details

Enter your full name, email, motorcycle brand/model, plate number, and password.

Grant GPS Access (Required)

Tap "Grant GPS Access" and allow location when prompted. This is mandatory β€” customers need to track you during deliveries.

Upload Motorcycle Photo

Upload a clear photo with the plate number visible.

Upload Valid ID

Upload a government-issued ID photo.

Submit and wait for approval

Verify your email, then wait 1-2 business days for admin review.

⚠️ Requirements: Valid motorcycle, driver's license, and based in Lagawe, Hingyon, or Kiangan.

🚚 How to Accept and Complete Deliveries

Toggle Online

On your dashboard, switch to Online to start receiving delivery requests.

See Available Deliveries

Orders with status Ready appear in your Deliveries tab. Tap a card to expand details.

Tap "Accept"

Review the pickup location, customer address, items, and payment. Tap Accept to take the delivery.

Navigate to the Restaurant

Use the live map or tap Google Maps / Waze to navigate to the restaurant.

Pick Up the Order

Get the food from the restaurant, then tap "I Picked Up the Order".

Navigate to Customer

The map now shows the customer's location. Navigate to their address. Collect cash if COD.

Tap "Mark as Delivered"

Once delivered, tap "Mark as Delivered" to complete the order and add earnings.

⚠️ COD Orders: Collect cash from the customer before tapping Mark as Delivered. If the customer refuses to pay, tap "Customer didn't pay" to report them.

How rider earnings work: You earn the full delivery fee + tip for every completed delivery. For COD orders, you collect the food payment from the customer and remit it to admin.

You'll see your Pending Remittance amount in orange.

Send the pending amount to the Admin GCash number shown on screen.

Upload the screenshot and tap Submit. Wait for admin to confirm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions and answers

❓ Why can't I see any restaurants?
Make sure you're logged in as a Customer. Restaurants only appear when they are approved, open, and have menu items. Try refreshing the page.
❓ Why is my account showing "Pending"?
Merchant and Rider accounts require admin review β€” usually 1-2 business days. You'll be able to log in once approved.
❓ How do I update the app?
When a new version is available, a blue "πŸ†• Update Available!" banner appears at the top. Tap Update and the app refreshes automatically.
❓ GPS is not detecting my location. What do I do?
Allow location access: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Chrome β†’ Permissions β†’ Location β†’ Allow. Then try again in the app.
❓ I opened the link in Messenger but the Install button doesn't appear.
Messenger has its own browser that doesn't support PWA install. Tap "Open in Chrome" from the banner shown, or copy the link and open it in Chrome manually.
❓ My order was cancelled. Why?
Orders can be cancelled by the restaurant if they can't fulfill it, or by the customer within the 2-minute window. A strike may be added for improper cancellations.
❓ The live map is not showing the rider's location.
All three must have GPS: (1) Customer detected location at checkout, (2) Merchant has store GPS set in Profile, (3) Rider allowed GPS access. Check all three!
❓ I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?". Enter your email and check your inbox for a reset link.
❓ Can I order from multiple restaurants in one order?
No. Each order is from one restaurant only. Place separate orders for different restaurants.
❓ How is the delivery fee calculated?
β‚±35 base fee for within 2km of Lagawe center. Beyond 2km, +β‚±2 per km. Tap "Detect My Location" on checkout for your accurate fee.
❓ The app keeps logging me out. What do I do?
After an update, you may be logged out once. Just log back in β€” after that, the app will remember you automatically until you tap "Log Out".
